Senior Relationship Manager (Local Corporates)


Major Responsibilities

Your primary aim as Senior Relationship Manager will be to retain and expand the existing customer base in local corporate space. You will take it upon yourself to retain profitable existing customers through superior customer service and increase overall customer profitability by managing price realisation and cost to serve, while developing/executing innovative customer strategies that identify and realise new business. This apart, you will research and develop referrals and liaise with Dept Head’s to develop and convert new customer prospects. You will also identify, understand and mitigate credit risk ensuring quality judgements are made, approved, reported and documented in adherence to Group credit policies and standards. As part of your portfolio, you will oversee credit assessment and develop strategies for the management, reviewing notes, actions and strategies within discretion and recommending corrective measure where necessary.

Additionally, you will identify potential process/service enhancements, ensuring the creation of an environment of continuous improvement, beneficial to business. Acting as mentor, you coach and guide your staff, instilling in them the confidence and determination to meet and exceed business expectations.

Mandatory Skills

We seek a computer literate individual with a minimum 10 years of banking experience, gained working with multi-national companies backed by a sound knowledge of sales and marketing principles and proven Relationship management skills. Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in a business discipline (Banking/Finance/Marketing) with an understanding of the current economic climate, its impact on business and the laws that govern it. Your ability to develop and execute plans combined with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills make you a valuable asset to the organisation.
